Mountain Rose sits at an elevation of 8,200 feet along the Mummy Mountain Range. We're in the private wilderness community of Crystal Lakes surrounded by Roosevelt National Forest in Larimer County. The Denver Post named this area one of the four "best places in Colorado to be." And no wonder. It is quiet, private, pristine, and beautiful with some of the best fishing in Colorado. Wild life is abundant.

The only nearby village is Red Feather Lakes. With a population of less than 1,000, you won't find traffic lights, chain restaurants, or tourist-trap shopping, but there is a nice little library that is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10am-6pm. Red Feather has 3 gas station/quick shops that carry a few "essentials" you may have left behind. They take MasterCard, Visa, & AMEX, but there is no ATM machine. Here and there along the highway, you'll find a number of Christian churches where vacationers are always welcomed. Visit www.colorado.com for more information.
